Gloves??????

This weeks mystery programmer was Ryan Fletcher. Ryan is a coach at CrossFit Lethbridge and a respiratory therapist at the hospital. He is currently enjoying strength biased programming and training and it showed in his week for you. Please leave Ryan some feedback on the week in the comments section and thank him for his time.

So yesterday I discussed my point of view, that I stand by, regarding an article written by strength and conditioning coach Mike Boyle. Much to my surprise Mike posted on the Conquest blog in regards to my discussion. He urged for myself and others to read further into the issue and look at some of his other work on the issue (which can be viewed in yesterdays comments). I plan on taking him up on it, and urge you to do the same, to continuing to evaluate his point of view. As I said before you will never get yourself anywhere by not being willing to listen to new ideas and being closed minded. He has been doing this for a long time and was not born yesterday, so I am willing to delve further at his suggestion. Thank you for posting Mike it shows how passionate you are about your position and it lends a lot of credibility your way that you would even take the time to look at a small blog such as mine. I look forward to the potential of future discussions with larger scopes with you in the future.

Gloves for working out are the bestest!!!
10. Anyone who lifts the equivalent weight of a watermelon looks funny in gloves
9. It worked for Michael Jackson
8. Gives you traction when hitting the buttons on your cell phone
7. Help make you look tough....or do they
6. Gives people a chance to make fun of you before they know you
5. Ever read the book "Of Mice and Men"
4. Calluses might show you actually do something besides your hair
3. A place to put your Kleenex for when your nose starts to run
2. You like sweaty palms
1. You'd rather look like you workout than actually workout

If you need gloves maybe this is the workout for you instead of conquest (lol)

Who Am I? So far our winners include Guy, Stout and Kyle. Who will win next?

You've stumped the Schwab...even Lorney doesn't know...and it's BUGGIN' him!
I'm guessing Canadian John Tenta (11lbs 3oz at birth...started wrestling at age 6)
aka "Golga"
aka "The Earthquake"
aka "Shark Bomb"
Lorne says "Stacy Keibler" (in drag of course).

Hey Ryan,
Loved the strength biased workouts, like pushing weight around. Unfortunately it gave Billy plenty of opportunity to kick my butt! That man's a tank, a pretty tank, but still a tank!

Cheers for the programming,
DC

P.S. Love the glove list Cory, though I do think that gloves made Billy Idol and Cory Hart look tougher. What's next AO/CT leg warmers? Love you all!

Great workouts this week, Ryan!

I guess I won't look for my workout gloves :( But I could do a good Billy Idol impression maybe if I had them :)
