Lose your Mind...and Refocus

Battling through areas of weakness, physically and mentally, can be a difficult challenge. Those that are able to master their emotions, doubts and physical imbalances/weaknesses become, not only a better person but a more complete individual. An excellent method of overcoming some of these things is to lay them out in front of you. Create an honest list of the areas where you fall short and devise methods of overcoming them. Sometimes the biggest step in fixing the problem is recognizing the problem/weakness exists. Once you have formulated your solution stay the course. It is easy to get distracted and not follow through on your plan as it is not easy to fix things you are not good at. One of the great things about training in a CrossFit style at Conquest is the mental fortitude that it teaches. When the going gets tough, you're on the clock so you better get going too. Everything tells you to stop but you forge on! This translates into everyday life as well and how you approach tasks. It is nice to know that as we train the physical we also train the mental.
